Scene 7: The Power of Hate

Exterior HELL – ANCIENT TIMES

The scene is set in the desolate, fiery landscape of Hell. Demonic creatures move about, their eyes glowing with malice. Be-el stands atop a rocky outcrop, his presence commanding and powerful. A group of demons gathers below, led by a DEMON LORD with a towering, menacing presence. The Demon Lord has crimson skin, massive horns, and wears dark, jagged armor. He wields a massive, flaming sword that radiates intense heat.

DEMON LORD (defiant) You dare to demand our obedience, Be-el? You, a fallen angel, an upstart? We will not bow to you!

Be-el descends from the outcrop, his expression calm but filled with a dark intensity. He steps forward, his eyes locked on the Demon Lord. Be-el, with his sleek black wings and glowing red eyes, wears dark, enchanted armor that enhances his strength. His weapon, a shadowy blade, seems to pulse with dark energy.

BE-EL (coldly) You will obey, or you will be destroyed. This is not a request.

DEMON LORD (snarling) We have followed our own will for eons. Why should we follow you now?

BE-EL (smirking) Because I am stronger than you. And because I understand the true power of hate.

The Demon Lord laughs, a harsh, grating sound that echoes through the fiery landscape.

DEMON LORD (mockingly) Hate? You think you can control us with mere hate?

BE-EL (firmly) Hate is not mere. It is a force more powerful than you can comprehend. And it will be your undoing.

The Demon Lord lunges at Be-el, who meets his attack with a swift, powerful counter. They clash, their blows shaking the ground beneath them. Dark energy crackles around Be-el, his power fueled by the intense emotions within him.

BE-EL (in Latin, shouting) “Odium consumit!”

A dark energy in the shape of a man materializes beside Be-el. The shadowy figure exudes an aura of pure malice, its presence sending a chill through the gathered demons. The demons recoil in fear, their defiance turning to dread.

DEMON LORD (horrified) What is this abomination?

BE-EL (calmly) This is the manifestation of my hate. And it will consume you.

The shadowy figure advances on the Demon Lord, who tries to fight back but is overwhelmed by the dark energy. The shadow engulfs the Demon Lord, his screams of agony echoing through the landscape as he is consumed.

Interior DEMONIC CAVERN – LATER

Be-el sits in a dark cavern, his mind occupied with thoughts of his past and his actions. Asmodeus, the demon of lust, approaches him, curiosity in his eyes. Asmodeus has a charismatic and cunning appearance, with piercing eyes and a sly grin. He wears minimal armor, relying on his charm and agility in battle.

ASMODEUS (amazed) Be-el, your power is incredible. But why do you have so much hate in your heart?

Be-el looks at Asmodeus, his expression thoughtful and reflective.

BE-EL (softly) It is not hate I feel, Asmodeus. It is love. So much love that it turns to hate.

ASMODEUS (intrigued, with a sinister grin) Love? How can love cause such hatred? Fascinating.

BE-EL (sighing) Love, when unfulfilled, when twisted by loss and pain, becomes something darker. The more intense the love, the more intense the hate when it is corrupted.

ASMODEUS (thoughtful, but with a dark edge) I see. So your hate is born from the love you once had? Interesting. It means your love was so powerful that it could transform into something as potent as hate.

BE-EL (nodding) Yes. The love I had, the love I lost, it created a void. And in that void, hate grew. It became a part of me, a source of my power.

ASMODEUS (cynical) Is it not a tragedy, then? That love, the purest of emotions, can lead to such darkness?

BE-EL (sadly) It is a tragedy. But it is also the reality of our existence. Love and hate are two sides of the same coin. One cannot exist without the other.

ASMODEUS (philosophical, but with malice) Perhaps. But is there not a way to find balance? To use love and hate in harmony?

BE-EL (thoughtfully) Perhaps there is. But for now, I must use what I have. My hate is my strength, and it is what I need to achieve my goals.

ASMODEUS (amused) I hope you find peace, Be-el. Or at least find what you’re looking for.

Exterior DEMONIC ARENA – NIGHT

In a large, open arena surrounded by jagged rocks and blazing fires, Be-el faces off against the Demon Lord. The arena is filled with other demons, including Mammon, Asmodeus, and Leviathan, who watch with interest. Mammon, the demon of greed, is clad in heavy, golden armor encrusted with jewels, symbolizing his insatiable desire for wealth. Leviathan, the demon of envy, has a serpentine appearance with scales and glowing green eyes, wearing armor that resembles the ocean’s depths.

MAMMON (amused) Look at them go. Be-el thinks he can take on the Demon Lord just because he’s got a bit of power.

LEVIATHAN (sneering) He’s always been ambitious. But ambition alone won’t win this fight.

ASMODEUS (smiling) True, but his hatred… it’s something else. It gives him an edge. I wonder how deep it runs.

MAMMON (cynical) Deep enough to drive him mad, I’d wager.

LEVIATHAN (disgusted) Madness or not, he’s still a fallen angel. It’s repulsive.

ASMODEUS (grinning) Repulsive, but powerful. His hatred is born from something deeper. He claims it’s love twisted into hate. Fascinating, isn’t it?

MAMMON (scoffing) Love? That’s a weakness, not a strength.

LEVIATHAN (bitterly) Yet here he is, using it to fuel his power. Maybe we underestimated him.

Interior DEMONIC ARENA – MOMENTS LATER

Be-el and the Demon Lord clash violently, their blows creating shockwaves that ripple through the arena. The Demon Lord’s flaming sword meets Be-el’s shadowy blade in a shower of sparks.

DEMON LORD (taunting) You’re strong, Be-el, but you can’t defeat me. You’re nothing but a shadow of your former self!

BE-EL (defiantly) I am more than you can imagine!

With a powerful thrust, Be-el drives the Demon Lord back. The Demon Lord snarls and charges again, but Be-el’s dark energy manifests, forming the shadowy figure beside him.

BE-EL (in Latin, shouting) “Odium consumit!”

The shadowy figure engulfs the Demon Lord, who struggles futilely against the dark energy. His screams of agony echo through the arena as he is consumed.

MAMMON (impressed) He did it. The Demon Lord is no more.

LEVIATHAN (grudgingly) Maybe there’s more to him than we thought.

ASMODEUS (amused) Indeed. His hatred… it’s fascinating. I wonder how far it will take him.

BE-EL (turning to his fellow demons) This is what happens when you defy me. My power is not just my own; it is fueled by the deepest emotions, by love turned to hate. Stand with me, or face the same fate as the Demon Lord.

The other demons murmur amongst themselves, a mixture of fear and respect in their eyes.

FADE OUT.
