Scene 27: The Revelation

Interior PROPHET’S TENT – NIGHT

The tension in the air is palpable as Be-el and Azazel face the Prophet Elymas Bar, whose mocking grin has faded into a more serious expression. The flickering candlelight casts eerie shadows across the ornate tent, highlighting the sinister atmosphere.

Prophet Elymas Bar (calmly) “Be-el, it’s not in your best interest to kill me.”

Be-el (angrily) “Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t.”

Prophet Elymas Bar (unfazed) “Because I am merely a faithful servant, following the orders given to me by you.”

Be-el and Azazel exchange confused glances. The Prophet’s forehead, marked with D.C.L.X.V.I., pulses and shines with an otherworldly light. The Prophet reaches behind his throne and retrieves an ancient-looking scroll, sealed with six demonic symbols.

Prophet Elymas Bar (presenting the scroll) “This is a gift, Be-el. Given to me by you the last time we met. You told me this scroll holds your plan. I cannot open it; its power is too great for me.”

Be-el steps forward, cautiously taking the scroll from the Prophet’s hands. The moment he touches it, the seals break effortlessly, revealing an intricate map of artifacts.

Be-el (perplexed) “Who are you, really?”

The Prophet kneels before Be-el, his head bowed in reverence.

Prophet Elymas Bar (reverently) “You made me, Be-el. You gave me power, Master. I am here to serve you.”

Be-el (demanding) “Serve me? For what purpose?”

The Prophet looks up, his eyes filled with a fervent, almost fanatical devotion.

Prophet Elymas Bar “You told me to start this church and to create a path for Lucifer’s return. Everything I’ve done has been in service of that goal.”

Azazel steps closer, his eyes narrowing as he scrutinizes the Prophet.

Azazel (skeptical) “Why would Be-el give you such power and responsibility?”

Prophet Elymas Bar (earnestly) “Because, Azazel, the world needed a harbinger to pave the way for the coming darkness. I am that harbinger.”

Be-el looks at the map on the scroll, the locations of the remaining artifacts clearly marked. His mind races as he tries to piece together the fragmented memories and the implications of this revelation.

Be-el (resolutely) “How do I know you’re telling the truth?”

The Prophet rises to his feet, his expression sincere and unwavering.

Prophet Elymas Bar “You will find the truth in the artifacts. Follow the map, and you will see the path you laid out for yourself. I am merely the first step.”

Be-el studies the map, the weight of his past actions and decisions bearing down on him. Azazel watches him closely, ready to support whatever decision Be-el makes.

Be-el (determined) “Very well. We will follow this map. But know this, Prophet, if you have deceived me in any way, there will be consequences.”

The Prophet bows his head once more, his voice filled with unwavering faith.

Prophet Elymas Bar “I live only to serve, Master. Your will is my command.”

Be-el (demanding) “What about the people here?”

Prophet Elymas Bar (calmly) “They are offerings. They are here to fuel the power. Their sacrifices will make us stronger.”

As Be-el and Azazel leave the tent, the weight of their mission becomes clearer. The path to regaining Be-el’s full power and understanding his true purpose lies ahead, fraught with danger and revelations.

Exterior VILLAGE – NIGHT

The village is eerily quiet as Be-el and Azazel walk through the darkened streets, the map clutched tightly in Be-el’s hand. The revelation from the Prophet lingers in their minds, shaping their thoughts and fueling their determination.

Azazel (quietly, yet with conviction) “Do you trust him, Be-el? The marks on his face, the way he speaks the truth… It’s compelling.”

Be-el (sighing, with a hint of doubt) “I don’t know. But we have no choice. We need those artifacts, and this map is our only lead.”

Azazel nods, his eyes scanning the shadows for any signs of danger. As they walk, they come upon a gruesome sight—a man crucified, his flesh being eaten by crows. The image is both disturbing and powerful.

Azazel (with a dark admiration) “Look at this, Be-el. This sacrifice… It’s not just for show. It fuels the power we need. Prophet Elymas Bar draws his strength from such acts. As this man’s flesh is consumed, the Prophet’s power grows stronger. The undead haven’t attacked this place because his power wards them off.”

Be-el (grimly) “So, the people here… they’re all offerings to fuel the underworld.”

Azazel (nodding) “Yes, Be-el. Our power has to come from somewhere. The Prophet understands that. These sacrifices are necessary. They make us stronger.”

Be-el (thoughtfully) “And the Prophet’s power… it comes from this dark energy.”

Azazel (confidently) “Exactly. The marks on his face, the way he commands… it’s all real. His power is undeniable. We must use it to our advantage.”

They continue walking, the sight of the crucified man etched into their minds. The weight of the mission and the dark path they are on becomes clearer.

Be-el (resolved) “Very well. We will follow this path. But we must remain vigilant. If the Prophet is right, and these artifacts hold the key to our power, then we cannot fail.”

Azazel (grinning) “Agreed. This will be an interesting journey. Let’s see where this path leads us.”

The two continue their journey, the map guiding them towards their next destination. The fate of their mission and the world rests on their shoulders as they step into the unknown, ready to face whatever challenges lie ahead.
