Scene 4: The Encounter with Lilith

Exterior ANCIENT FOREST – NIGHT

The moon casts a silvery glow over the dense forest as Be-el and Azazel make their way through the underbrush. The air is thick with the scent of moss and earth. Suddenly, a figure steps out from the shadows, blocking their path.

UNKNOWN WOMAN (smiling mysteriously) Be-el, Azazel. I’ve been expecting you.

BE-EL (startled, hand on his sword) Who are you? How do you know us?

UNKNOWN WOMAN (softly) You already know me, Be-el. But my name does not matter for now.

Azazel narrows his eyes, trying to sense any threat from the woman.

AZAZEL (suspicious) What do you want from us?

The woman steps closer, her eyes glinting with an otherworldly knowledge and power.

UNKNOWN WOMAN (gently) I want to help you, Be-el. I know of a ritual that can give you the additional power you need for your journey.

Be-el lowers his sword slightly, intrigued but cautious.

BE-EL (seriously) Why would you help us? And what do you want in return?

UNKNOWN WOMAN (smiling) Desire requires sacrifice. I need the blood of a virgin woman for the ritual.

Be-el’s eyes narrow, a sense of dread creeping into his heart.

BE-EL (demanding) Why her blood? Are you going to sacrifice her?

The woman’s smile remains enigmatic as she steps even closer, her presence almost overwhelming.

UNKNOWN WOMAN (calmly) The blood of a virgin holds a unique power. But do not concern yourself with the details. Bring me the woman, and I will perform the ritual. Her blood is my concern.

BE-EL (firmly) I need to know more. I won’t endanger an innocent life without understanding what you’re planning.

The woman’s eyes flash with impatience, but she quickly regains her composure.

UNKNOWN WOMAN (sighing) Desire always comes at a cost, Be-el. The power you seek to reclaim your past, to save Beatrice, requires a sacrifice. If you are not willing to do what is necessary, perhaps you are not ready for the truth.

Azazel steps forward, trying to gauge the woman’s intentions.

AZAZEL (steady) How do we know you can be trusted? What proof do you have of your power?

The woman waves her hand, and a small, glowing orb appears in her palm. It pulses with a light that feels both ancient and potent.

UNKNOWN WOMAN (softly) This is but a fraction of what I can offer. The choice is yours, Be-el. Do you desire your past and power enough to make the necessary sacrifices?

Be-el looks at the orb, feeling its pull, then back at the woman, his mind racing with possibilities and doubts.

BE-EL (after a long pause) If we consider your offer, where would we find this virgin woman?

The woman’s smile widens, pleased with his question.

UNKNOWN WOMAN (calmly) There is a house nearby, in a small clearing. A family lives there, and they have a daughter who is still a virgin. Bring her to me, and I will perform the ritual for you.

Be-el’s expression hardens, torn between the need for power and the morality of the act.

BE-EL (troubled) And what will happen to her? Are you going to sacrifice her?

The woman’s eyes gleam with a mix of amusement and impatience.

UNKNOWN WOMAN (mysteriously) Desire requires sacrifice. Her blood is essential for the ritual. The rest is not your concern. Decide quickly, for time is running out.

The woman steps back into the shadows, her presence lingering even as she disappears from sight.

AZAZEL (whispering, more assertive) Be-el, this is our chance. Her power is beyond anything we’ve encountered. We can’t pass this up.

BE-EL (troubled) I don’t know, Azazel. It feels wrong to sacrifice an innocent life.

AZAZEL (convincing) Think about it, Be-el. Her life may seem significant now, but in the grand scheme of things, her sacrifice could save countless others. This is for the greater good. To restore your powers, to save Beatrice, and to defeat our enemies.

Be-el looks at Azazel, conflicted.

BE-EL (uncertain) But she’s just an innocent girl. How can we justify taking her life?

Azazel steps closer, his eyes intense.

AZAZEL (firmly) Sometimes, difficult decisions must be made. We are fighting for something much bigger than one life. This is about restoring balance, reclaiming your past, and ensuring a future for all those you care about. If we hesitate, we might lose everything.

BE-EL (determined) I understand, but we need to be sure. I need to know that this sacrifice will truly lead to our success.

AZAZEL (confident) Trust me, Be-el. The power we gain from this ritual will be unmatched. It’s a necessary step in our journey. We can’t let sentimentality cloud our judgment.

Be-el nods slowly, still troubled but seeing the logic in Azazel’s words.

BE-EL (resolute) Alright. We’ll do it. But we must be careful and ensure that this is truly our only option.

Azazel smiles, relieved and supportive.

AZAZEL (supportive) We’ll make it work, Be-el. For Beatrice, for your past, and for our future.

FADE OUT.
